A good elevator pitch makes clear who you are, what problem you solve and why it is worth talking further. Every Novi advisor practises their pitch during training.
What it means in practice
An elevator pitch is a short, roughly 30-second statement saying who you are, what problem you solve, for whom and why it’s worth talking further – as if you only had one elevator ride.
Why it matters for your business
The first seconds decide whether a business owner gives you their time. A good pitch is simple, specific and focused on the customer’s benefit, not on describing your company.
Examples and good practice
- Start with the customer’s problem, not yourself.
- Give one concrete benefit with a number.
- End with a question or a small next step.
- Practise aloud until it sounds natural.
How to use it in a sales conversation
Example: “I help businesses like yours win customers from Google. Within 24 hours I can show you what your website could look like – for free. Shall I show you an example from your industry?” Every Novi advisor practises their pitch in training.
