Pages with a single sentence or only photos perform poorly in search. Google rewards content that genuinely answers the user’s questions.
What it means in practice
Thin content means pages that add little value: one sentence, a gallery without description, a list of services without explanation, or automatically generated text without substance. Formally the page exists, but it doesn’t answer the visitor’s questions.
Why it matters for your business
Google rarely ranks such pages high, and many of them can weaken the assessment of the whole website. Customers also leave quickly when they don’t find the information they need.
Examples and good practice
- Every service page should answer: what, how, how much, where and why you.
- Add captioned photos, FAQ and project examples.
- Merge several very short pages into one valuable page.
- Fewer pages, but good ones.
How Novi handles it
Novi pages contain full service descriptions, benefits, FAQ and trust elements. Content Power Pack pages are in-depth and written around customers’ real questions.
